Terms of Service
Effective Date: July 20, 2026
Thank you for choosing Seeing Serene. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website seeingserene.com (the “Site”) and the salon and spiritual wellness services offered by Seeing Serene and its owner, Sunny Wiseman (“Seeing Serene,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing the Site, booking an appointment, or receiving services from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Site or book services with us.
1. Services
Seeing Serene offers salon services (including haircuts, wash and style, and scalp and hair treatments) and spiritual wellness services (including Sacred Perspective Healing). Sunny Wiseman is a licensed cosmetologist and a certified Integrated Healing Arts Practitioner.
Spiritual wellness services are offered solely for spiritual, energetic, and personal support. They are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other licensed healthcare services. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, and they are not a substitute for care from a licensed medical or mental health professional. You should always consult with an appropriate licensed professional for any medical, psychological, or psychiatric concerns.
2. Client Consent & Assumption of Risk
By booking and receiving any hair, scalp, facial, or spiritual wellness services, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You have voluntarily chosen to receive these services.
- You have disclosed, to the best of your knowledge, all medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, medications, injuries, and other health concerns that may affect your services, and you agree to update us if your health status changes.
- You understand that failure to provide accurate and complete information may increase the risk of undesirable or adverse results.
- You understand that spiritual wellness services are offered solely for spiritual and personal support and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or replace care from a licensed medical or mental health professional.
- You understand that no specific results or outcomes are promised or guaranteed.
You voluntarily assume the ordinary risks associated with the services you choose to receive, including but not limited to temporary discomfort, irritation, or dissatisfaction with results.
To the fullest extent permitted by Indiana law, you release, waive, and hold harmless Seeing Serene and its owner, employees, and contractors from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or relating to the ordinary risks inherent in the services provided, except to the extent such claims arise from our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
By booking or receiving services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to these Terms of Service.
3. Booking & Confirmation
Appointments may be booked through the Site or by contacting us directly using the contact information provided below.
- An appointment is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email or other written confirmation from us.
- Appointment availability is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
- We reserve the right to refuse or limit bookings in our discretion, including to manage our schedule and maintain a safe and respectful environment.
4. Deposits & Payments
- Salon services (The Serene Session, Serenity Service, Haircut Service, and Wash & Style Service) require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to hold your appointment. The remaining balance is due in person on the day of service.
- Sacred Perspective Healing requires full payment at the time of booking.
- Deposits and prepayments are applied toward the total cost of the service.
- Tips are appreciated but never expected.
- We accept payment methods offered through our online booking system, as well as standard forms of payment accepted in person at the time of your appointment.
You authorize us (and any third-party payment processor we use) to charge your payment method in accordance with these Terms, including any applicable deposits, late-cancellation fees, and no-show fees.
5. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows
We understand that life happens and schedules change; however, our time is reserved especially for you.
- We request at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- Cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of the appointment time may result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
- No-shows (failure to appear for an appointment without notice) will result in forfeiture of the full deposit, and future bookings may require full payment in advance.
- If an urgent situation arises, please reply to your confirmation email or contact us directly as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to work with you, but we may still apply our stated cancellation and no-show policies in our discretion.
6. Late Arrivals
To respect all clients’ time and maintain our schedule:
- If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten your service or reschedule it to avoid impacting the next client.
- If your service is shortened due to late arrival, full-service pricing still applies.
- If excessive lateness makes it impracticable to perform the service, we may treat the appointment as a late cancellation or no-show, and our cancellation and deposit policies may apply.
7. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse, discontinue, or terminate service to any person at any time, including (but not limited to) situations involving:
- Health or safety concerns
- Aggressive, harassing, or disrespectful behavior
- Intoxication or impairment
- Failure to comply with these Terms or any posted policies
If we discontinue a service based on your conduct or failure to follow instructions, applicable deposit and cancellation terms may still apply.
8. Personal Belongings
Please keep your personal belongings with you during your appointment. While we make reasonable efforts to maintain a safe environment, Seeing Serene is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property on the premises.
9. Photography & Marketing
We may occasionally photograph our work (typically focusing on hair and not including faces) for our portfolio, marketing materials, and social media.
- If you prefer not to be photographed in any form, please inform us at the beginning of your appointment and we will honor your request.
- By not opting out, you grant Seeing Serene a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use such images of your hair or services received (without identifying you by name or face) for marketing and promotional purposes.
10. Minors
- Clients under 18 years of age must have consent from a parent or legal guardian in order to receive services.
- For clients under 16, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the appointment.
- By providing consent, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms on behalf of the minor client.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or the services provided will not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where a higher amount is required by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
